The Catalyst Program for Aspiring Catholic School Leaders is a semester-long leadership immersion experience for teachers in Catholic schools who are discerning a leadership ministry in Catholic education. Under the guidance of a mentoring administrator, the Catalyst program forms leaders who are committed to the mission, vision, and values of Catholic education.
The Catalyst Program provides three types of core experiences for participants: mentorship, community, and practical problem solving.
Mentorship
Mentorship
Aspiring leaders learn from mentor principals and leaders in their school - experts who in sharing knoweldge and experience inspire a new generation of Catholic school leaders.
Community
Community
Aspiring leaders and mentors, together, join others in their cohort in a robust online learning community that is facilitated by Catholic school leadership faculty at Creighton University, with presentations from national experts in all dimensions of Catholic school leadership.
Practicality
Practicality
With guidance from their mentors, aspiring leaders complete a practical application project that has impact. Participants put their new skills to use to build up the Kingdom of God in the schools in which they work and lead.
Are you discerning a leadership vocation in a Catholic school? Are you a current leader seeking to serve as a mentor to an emerging leader in your school? We are seeking participants for this program who:
Have strong faith and morals
Feel called to Catholic school leadership to serve others
Have a passionate committment to Catholic schools, and want to inspire that in others
Seek to serve others - especially the poor, marginalized, and those on the fringes of society
Values relationships as the conduit through which the Holy Spirt moves through the school community
The Catalyst Program for Aspiring Catholic School Leaders is offered for free to Catholic school teachers and leaders who seek to discern a Catholic school leadership vocation to build up the Kingdom of God on Earth.
Aspiring leaders and mentors who complete the Catalyst Program can carry their experience into one of Creighton University's credit-bearing Catholic school leadership programs as three experiential learning credits.
The Catalyst Program is offered as a gift to preK - 12 Catholic schools through a generous gift from Creighton University's Catholic School Initiatives Endowment Fund.
